HIGH CONCEPT SPY FICTION GOLD KEY'S MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. PART 2 OF 2 !!!

High concept spy fiction, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., was good from Gold Key Comics.

Cameo in Inferior Five
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. revolves around agents Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin fighting the forces of THRUSH seeking world domination. The title character, Napoleon Solo was created by Ian Fleming, creator of James Bond. Fleming also created April Dancer, The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.. The rest, as they say, is television history.

The classic logo!

Gold Key started with Paul S. Newman & Dick Wood to write The Man from U.N.C.L.E. series and then added Mike Sekowsky, Don Heck, George Tuska, Werner Roth and the many other fine artists to the equation.

Great collage covers along with pin-ups on the back on many of the comics added to the appeal of the comic book series.

Informational back-up features on the spy trade finished the touch.

Be sure not to miss out on not only the paperback novel series of Man from U.N.C.L.E., but also the digest series, written by notable authors such as John Jakes and Dennis Lynds under the house name of Robert Hart David. I'd like to point out one of the paperbacks of special note, The Rainbow Affair written by the talented fan favorite David McDaniel. There are some special cameos by John Steed, Emma Peel, Fu Manchu and James Bond, to name a few! Cool book!

Storybook written by Walter B. Gibson!
Illustration from the Big Little Book!
Whitman put out two Man from U.N.C.L.E. hardback novels and a children's picture book, written by none other than Walter B. Gibson, author of The Shadow novels. In addition to that, there was a hardcover Big Little Book published.
